WHAT’S THE CONNI CONFERENCE ALL ABOUT?
The CONNI Conference is a simple concept - to give you something new to learn, to grow professionally and personally, to connect with your peers and share ideas, to reignite your passion for work and life in general.
WHY?
We've always thought that the corporate world should give back to those who contribute to their existence.
Our company philosophy believes by taking our successes and contributing to the well being of clinicians, physios, OT's, carers and other allied health and aged care workers is quite simply the right thing to do. It is these very people who are giving us the legs to do stuff like this due to their support. The CONNI Conference is now a part of our annual 'giving back' strategy.
We're just a small fish in a big pool of sharks but we're surviving and having a whole lot of fun in the process.
IS IT ACCREDITED?
Absolutely! By attending the CONNI Conference you will receive Professional Development Points. Ongoing learning is now recognised as an essential component of Registration by the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA). The NMBA has developed registration standards that apply to numerous measures and requirements of nursing competency. One such requirement of all practicing nurses and midwives is an annual commitment to at least 20 hours of continuing professional development (CPD). LEARN MORE

Welcome from Glenys Drayton - CEO of Conni
As we approach our 4th CONNI conference I'm reflecting on the reasons we do this, after all, we are just a small supplier in a niche sector of the continence industry. Whoever thought we would be running a conference and why would we do such a thing? The answer is simple. Connection.
In a fast-changing world where information is being exchanged every second, in a time when our fingertips take us to wherever we choose to go, there is something about stopping for the day and immersing yourself into something you can touch, see and experience in real-time. What we try and deliver is an experience that you will talk about for days to come, an intimate experience that will help you move forward with a more enlightened tone. Our lineup of speakers is stunning, with a first time experience within the lineup. You won't want to miss it.
Connection has always been a part of the CONNI philosophy, right from the early days when I traveled to meet the many clinicians based in various locations across the country. It was always important to me to have those connections, to feel the challenges and to walk side by side with many of you. We will always pick up the phone to our customers and be prepared to spend time. We will always remain connected with our clinicians and in doing so remain committed to the CONNI Awards where the winners for our 15th year will be announced at this 2020 conference. That's a very good reason to apply for the award and attend the conference.
Located in the beautiful city of Geelong, come for the day and stay for the weekend. The Great Ocean Road, The Bellarine and much more awaits you. Plus we have some more new CONNI additions to show you.
I hope to see you on the day.

Professional Development Points: What is CPD?
Nursing in Australia is undertaken in an ever-changing environment. Numerous factors contribute to the need for nurses' ongoing learning and experience, such as:
- Increasing consumer expectations
- Demographic and social changes
- Changes in the way that health professionals relate to each other
- Technological developments
- Shifting focuses in medicine; a growing emphasis on evidence-based research and introduction of therapeutic alternatives.
